Who is this course for?
  • Professionals who require unescorted access to Security Restricted Areas (SRAs) at an airport and must hold the corresponding AVSEC training.
  • Employees of companies and organisations operating within the airport environment whose duties require access to security restricted areas.
  • Individuals seeking employment in the aviation sector in positions where this training is required as part of the process for obtaining the corresponding airport identification card.

AVSEC 11.2.6 – Basic Security Awareness Training is intended for persons requiring unescorted access to Security Restricted Areas who are not subject to other specific AVSEC training requirements.

Completion of this course does not in itself grant an airport identification card or access authorisation, which remains subject to the applicable requirements and procedures established by the airport operator and the competent authorities.

The AVSEC 11.2.6 course has a total duration of 2 training hours and is delivered entirely online. It covers the competencies required for Basic Security Awareness Training in Civil Aviation Security.

The course covers the following subjects:

  • Acts of unlawful interference, terrorism and threats to civil aviation.
  • Applicable regulations and the fundamental principles of security culture.
  • Objectives and organisation of civil aviation security.
  • Organisation of security screening checkpoints and screening processes.
  • Access control and screening procedures.
  • Airport identification cards and authorisations.
  • Communication and reporting procedures relating to aviation security.
  • Appropriate response to security incidents and security-related situations.
  • 100% online training through our virtual campus, available 24 hours a day throughout the access period.
  • Training content supported by interactive resources and self-assessment activities.
  • Training delivered and supported by an AVSEC instructor certified by AESA (Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency).
  • Course access period: 30 days from receipt of the login credentials.
  • At the end of the course, participants must successfully complete the corresponding online assessment, achieving a minimum score of 70%. A maximum of 3 attempts is permitted.
  • Upon successful completion of the training and assessment, the participant will receive the corresponding AVSEC 11.2.6 training certificate.

 

AVSEC training must be kept up to date. For airport identification purposes, the applicable training must have been successfully completed within the previous five years.

  • Training delivered by an AVSEC instructor certified by AESA to provide 11.2.6 training.
  • Training management led by an AVSEC and AVSAF instructor with more than fifteen years of professional experience in airport operations.
  • Training content developed from official regulations and documentation, in accordance with the requirements applicable to AVSEC training.
  • Training assistance and support throughout the course, including guidance and clarification of any questions regarding the course content, training process and certification
